pages from singapore / traveling catalogue and virtual exhibition

Pages from Singapore puts paper waste back into global circulation in the form of foliage. Ranging in size and color, cast paper sculptures of fallen leaves gathered in Singapore travel to share their various natural and unnatural origin stories. Over 80 paper leaves compose this ghostly catalogue, dreaming of beauty and decay and transformation. The storage, filing and shipping system for Pages of Singapore is as much a part of the artwork as the leaves themselves. Each leaf travels in a hand-crafted box with a label that provides information about the leaf sculpture and its paper pulp source. Pages from Singapore began as part of an artist residency project at L’Observatoire: An Observatory for the Arts and Science in Singapore.

THE GLOOB FACTORY / INSTALLATION, l’observatoire: AN OBSERVATORY FOR THE ARTS AND SCIENCES, artist residency, singapore

The GLOOB Factory is a factory for ARTmaking with paper pulp from paper waste, outside the logics of mass reproduction. GLOOB is a play on glob, globe, and other wonderfuls. The GLOOB Factory is a play on modern factory production but with totally different means and opposite ends. While flexible systems and processes for production are carefully designed for The GLOOB Factory, the things themselves are not pre-planned. Nobody knows what The GLOOB Factory is going to make in advance. The GLOOB Factory shape-shifts. Walls, floors and tables morph and grow with the fantastical things that are made by the people inside it.

GREYSHIFT / MINIARTEXTIL International Fibre Art Exhibition, Como, ITALY

Greyshift transforms paper off-cuts from OSS Edition 001 The Dining Room into a moveable viewing device that expands from two to three dimensions across the black and white spectrum—from the flat, negative spaces of single planes of paper into a passageway defined by the curious betweens.
